When selecting a system, Smart Chill need to calculate the type of air conditioning unit that you'll require, based on the size of the house and the heat gain.
Load calculations are affected by: Climate, Window/Door Locations, Orientation of the House, Size in m2. Further, it is broken down to Whole House or Room-by-room.
Calculating the correct size is crucial to cost and performance.
If the air conditioning unit is undersized, it won’t be capable of cooling the house completely, and the cost will increase because it will take longer to cool down.
If oversized, lowering humidity may also be an issue. Cooling the air too quickly interferes with the volume of air circulation, which slows down moisture extraction. It will also require more electricity.
